Labor Policy in Colombia
The factors that I do not like abaut labor policies are the following:
- working hours
- the time considered as night work.
In Colombia the legal work hours are between 40-44 per week which leaves few hours for the recreation of the person and share with the families besides that in the developed countries tend to have fewer hors of work. In addition, if working hours are reduced, there could be more shifts, which would increase the number of jobs. A person who works 8 hours does not work in the day is not as productive at the end as at the beginning because it is already tired, but a person who works 4-5 hours becomes more productive throughout the shift. The pruductivity of the company wold be higher.
The time considered as night work.
Initially, it was taken from 6 am-6pm as a daytime shift; other hours were nocturnal. but this changed which increased the daytime. this was initially done to encourage companies to give more work but these were never seen as result, owever, what happened was that many people who received this binificacion by the time they had stopped receiving it.
- My changes to the labor policy would be that working hours are reduced without depositing income and returning daylight hours to normal
Demanhd and Labor Supply
The demand for labor force work can be believed insufficient in my country by the number of people who are unemployed, but this is not entirely true since the last year has seen an increase in employment in 13 metropolis, in addition to that unemployment is not only due to lack of employment, it also happens because people do not have the skills,
Despite this increase in employment of 13 metropolis, the rate of unemployment in Colombia compared to last year measured in the month of September to increase 0.3% and continues above the average global unemployment rate.
